Since their inception in 1998, one constant has defined Lucero. Touring. And, at least for the foreseeable future, they don't expect to veer off course.
Their music is part punk, part country, part rock 'n roll. But the band's members are all original. Steeped in the musical tradition of their hometown of Memphis, Tennessee, Lucero is a breath of fresh air in today's songs without substance musical landscape. As humble as they are talented and as ingratiating as they are introspective, the band is at home wherever they can play their songs and rest their heads. And with two documentaries on the band, along with a mock army formed in honor of their drummer, Lucero's legions of fans are spreading the word. One show. One record. One day at a time.

The Evolution of Greeting Cards
"... Which is where they put the unfit to stand trial and the criminally insane and try and treat them to be able to stand trial. There's some crazy people there. There was one guy with 31 personalities who drew me a Christmas card one year."
The Band's Documentary
"I was fairly comfortable with everything. It's hard to watch sometimes... We did do a commentary track on the DVD. It's just us getting drunk and making fun of each other."
Houseguest Etiquette
"... So it was bleeding and I went into the bathroom to clean it up and stuff. I went to open the medicine cabinet from the right side, but it opened from the left side. And, so, I went to open it and the whole thing came off the wall. So then I knew he wasn't there and I wasn't feeling too good and I had a Sharpie in my pocket and I wanted to make sure he knew what happened, so I signed the medicine cabinet."
Hollywood Comeback Films
"I think the trick there is never going away in the first place."
Setting Goals
"There was never a plan. I think if we would've gotten into it and been like, 'Alright, in two years we want this,' we would've quit two years into it."
Words to Live By
"Keep your mind on heaven in 2007."
